COMPUTER SCIENCE
| Computer Science courses are designed for transfer students interested in earning a B.S. degree in computer science or engineering. However, the usefulness of our Computer Science courses does not stop there. As with Mathematics, a background in Computer Science will help stimulate both creative and logical thought. It will also help any Science major gain an understanding of how to solve scientific problems efficiently and accurately. A science major with a strong math and CS background is a much stronger scientist. |
| Many of our Computer Science courses are both transferable to various four year institutions, as well as articulate to specific courses at the four year school. See http://www.assist.org/ to determine exactly which of our Computer science courses articulate to a particular 4-year institution. In that website, the student can select a major (say Computer Science), a two year source institution (say Diablo Valley College), and a 4-year target institution (say University of California, Berkeley) and the website would tell you which courses from the two year source institution are equivalent to which courses in the 4-year target institution. |
