| The Business Office Technology programs offered by the Contra Costa Community College District are designed to prepare students to work in the dynamic, global business environment of the 21st century. Our programs allow students to acquire the office technology skills necessary to work in a variety of industries as Administrative Office Assistants, Administrative Office Managers, Paraprofessional Account Clerks/Bookkeepers, Legal Secretaries, Medical Office Clerks, Medical Transcriptionists, Medical Billers, and Medical Coders. Using state-of-the-art equipment, our computer technology education programs provide training in the latest versions of Microsoft Office applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project, and Publisher). We also offer courses in Computerized Accounting/QuickBooks, and Computer Keyboarding/Data Entry. |
| We understand the importance of training our students to solve problems systematically and creatively. Our Business Office Technology programs do not overlook the all important "soft skills" so necessary for success in business. In addition to providing technology education, we place special emphasis on helping our students develop their critical thinking skills. We offer training in time and stress management, train students to work successfully in an increasingly diverse business environment, teach them how to work with difficult people, help them develop their customer service skills, and we make sure that our students understand the importance of business ethics and integrity in the workplace. |
